Skálanes Eiderdown Duvets
Our duvets are filled with 600 g of 100% Icelandic eiderdown, carefully harvested at Skálanes, Seyðisfjörður, East coast of Iceland. Each duvet is sewn with finely woven, Oeko-Tex® certified cotton fabric. The result is a naturally light, warm, and breathable duvet designed to last for generations.
Size is 140cm x 200cm four-compartment duvet. Contact erindrekar@gmail.com for special sizes.
Advice for longevity:
- It is recommended to shake the duvet in the morning so that the down can breathe and maintain its shape.
- It is recommended to regularly rotate the duvet so that the label alternates between facing the head and the feet. This helps distribute the usage of the duvet evenly from both ends, ensuring a more balanced load on the duvet over time.
- You should lie under the duvet, not on top.
- Allow the duvet to breathe by exposing it to fresh air. Sunny summer days are ideal for the down to regain air and breathe. Cold and frosty conditions can provide a refreshing antibacterial effect.
- Avoid laundering the duvet in a washing machine. If necessary, place it in a 30°delicate wash with additional rinsing. Then place it in the dryer and take it out periodically to shake it.
